WHAT IS LED LIGHT TECHNOLOGY? | LIGHT ENERGY

LED light technology

The light-emitting diode (LED) is today’s most energy-efficient and quickly evolving lighting technology.
Quality LED light bulbs last longer, are more durable, and provide equivalent or greater light quality than
other sources of illumination. LED Pot Lights. LEDs are increasingly gaining popularity and lighting up our homes,
businesses, retail areas, and roadways. All for a good cause. They cost one-tenth of the operating
expenses of ordinary bulbs, reducing carbon emissions by metric tons per year. By transforming every
drop of power into light, they are as efficient as any device can be.
DIFFERENCE:
LED lighting is distinct from incandescent and compact fluorescent lighting. The following are significant
differences:

  1. LEDs are the size of a pepper fleck and may emit light in a variety of colors. White light is
occasionally created by combining red, green, and blue LEDs.
  2. LEDs produce light in just one direction, eliminating the need for reflectors and diffusers that
trap light. LED Pot Lights. This feature makes LEDs more efficient for a variety of applications, including recessed
down lights and task lighting. Other forms of lighting require that the light be reflected in the
correct direction, and more than half of the light may never exit the fixture.
    APPLICATIONS:
Because of their thinness, they are extensively utilized as the backlight in TVs and smartphones, allowing
gadgets to be thinner with each release. Lower voltage utilization results in much longer smartphone
battery life. Similarly, most advertising signs, LED boxes, and billboards now employ LEDs to illuminate
the brand’s items both indoors and outside. LED Pot Lights. Because LEDs emit extremely little UV radiation, shops can
preserve their painted surfaces, carpets, curtains, artwork, and other fabrics from color fading caused by
light exposure. LEDs are increasingly being used in street and urban lighting, owing to their ability to be
directed and consume less electricity while having a long service life and a substantially smaller carbon
    impact.
    LASTING PERIOD:
LED bulbs have been discovered to have an average rated life of 25,000 hours. They have an even longer
lifespan, lasting up to 40,000 hours. LEDs have a minimum life expectancy of 20,000 hours. LEDs are not
limited by filaments or toxic argon gas, as are CFLs. They are instead a solid-state lighting application
with no moving parts that may shake and malfunction. LEDs, similarly, do not generate as much heat,
which wears down parts and degrades the sensitive electronics inside. The surface of the bulb’s body is
only approximately 85°F or 30°C according to most testing. Nonetheless, aluminum heat sinks and
silicone thermal components are incorporated into LEDs to conduct heat away from LED chips and
disperse it in moving air. LED Pot Lights.
