Pot lights may provide a lot of lighting in gloomy, shady regions. Luminous output
The majority of recessed lighting fixtures are 75 or 100 watts in power, which is enough for most interior applications. If you need more light, some models can reach up to 150 watts.
Bulb
Most recessed lights may accept any modern light bulb, such as LED, halogen, incandescent, or fluorescent. Some lights allow only certain types of bulbs, so be sure you obtain the right ones.
TYPES OF LED:
Newly constructed
New construction lights are installed in the ceiling before the drywall is erected. The primary light canister is suspended by movable hanger bars from the ceiling joists on either side of the cavity. Canisters are generally prewired and have thermal guards to prevent air from travelling between floors.
INSTALLATION: In an unfinished space, it is a straightforward task. Begin by fastening the hanger bars on both sides to the ceiling joists. Check that the light is not too far into the cavity; it should be flush with the drywall. The trim will disguise the difference. Then, if the light comes with wire nuts or fast connections, wire up the light.
Replace the lights
Remodel recessed lights are utilized in finished spaces to replace old lighting. The renovation light is connected to a junction box inserted through the ceiling hole. The light is held in place by a spring clip device that pushes it down from the inside.
INSTALLATION: Repairing a new hole in the ceiling is a simple technique. Connect the light to your current electrical wire. Then, place the junction box in the ceiling hole and pull the can down toward it. The ceiling drywall will be securely held in place by the spring-loaded clamps on the can’s side.
